Just swatching and mixing colours at the moment - the real knitting wont begin for a week or so!

Started this at the end of December..and I’m still going. I have been a bit sick and knitting has made me feel sicker so am only picking it up now and then, and also have been trying to get some of my Pumpkin Ale done too.
Anyway I am on the second round of colours…on short row wedge 4. I’m liking the knit but the garter blocks are getting long now! I’d say it’ll be another few weeks before I finish.
This is a Birthday present for my husband…already a month late but I am hoping it will be ready in time for our trip to Berlin at the end of Feb!

So not much progress was made on this until about 3 weeks ago. My nausea has passed and I’m getting my knitting mojo back. I’m half way through the last wedge so should be done in another few days.
I brought this on my trip to Berlin and as I hadn’t picked it up in a while I got very confused about where I was in the pattern. This resulted in the second last wedge being totally wrong - the hole placement and the number of rows is a bit random - but I left it as is. I think it will look fine.
Dying to see this finished and blocked out!

Cast off yesterday - just waiting to be blocked. Think my cast off was a little tight but will see what happens after blocking.

Blocking done! Haven’t taken the pins out yet but it’s dry. The edge is cast off a bit too tight still so the point isn’t as pointy as I would like (or else it is the mistakes on made on the number of rows giving it the wrong shape). Anyway it looks good and my husband is going to wear it as a scarf so I think it will look great on him.
