I’m knitting the medium size with a slightly looser gauge so hopefully everything will even out.

1.14.11 Cast on and using the two circular needle method which I’ve never tried before. It’s a bit confusing in the beginning with so many things going in all different directions but I’m 7 rows in and have figured it out :) And only 7 rows in I’m already in love! Lucky these will be too big for me cause otherwise they may not get to their intended destination :lol:. Most cables are done with the no needle method from the firestarter pattern (except the CC’s)

1.15.11 finished all the cabling in the cuffs.

1.18.11 after a mini pause I’ve finished the cuff chart and am on to the leg. I’m thinking just one repeat of the leg chart will do fine… maybe 1.5

1.20.11 gunna stick with 1 repeat and hopefully going to finish it up tonight :)

1.23.11 Went with 1.5 repeats instead. Had to rip back the heel flaps twice… both times because I was totally mis-reading the chart. The first time was my own fault (was not understanding the pattern that they were trying to set-up) but the second time is because I realised there’s an error in the chart… the - symbol on the chart is K not P on the WS. At least I think. That’s how I worked it. Otherwise it makes an interesting seed stitch type pattern on the heel between the ktbl.

1.29.11 working on the gusset now… 19 picked up stitches plus the m1 makes 20 in total per side.

1.30.11 gusset is finished… yay!

2.02.11 half done with the soles

2.14.11 once I hit my foot length my brain went on strike so I had to put the socks down for a little bit. Picked them back up and I have about 3 inches left (two of which are toe decreases… yay!). Should be done this week

2.18.11 DONE!!! My blockers aren’t the right size but you get the idea :)
