I started out with G hook had to tear out and go down to an F 3.75 mm. On this square I decided to try the bullion stitch instead of the tr and dc for the center of motif, this is the first time using that stitch and it is different…I like it! I have to say I really love youtube there are tutorials which show different variations of the bullion stitch which is really helpful.
This is also the first time I have used different colors in the same row and I really like the look that gave to this square. I had some ends to deal with but I think it was worth it, I carried over as much as I could like the heather was carried through out the square and the dark thyme I made sure I had enough yarn to carry up row by row so I only had four pieces of yarn or two ends x4 to sew in when I was done, which did cut down on the end sewing. There are some first’s on this square and I’m glad I went there!
The only advice I would give on this square is take your time, read over the instructions slow and easy.
