Notes

I have a bottomless mug that gets a bit too warm to hold on the bottom half. I’ve been meaning to crochet a cozy for it for aaages. Yesterday I finally sat down with some yarn and a hook and went for it.

I used some leftover yarn from the Clapochet Scarf I made and crocheted a quick and easy cozy.

I chained enough stitches to fit around the bottom of the mug and joined them. Next was a row of treble crochet (US Term: Double Crochet) into each stitch.

I the next row of tr into each stitch had 2 increases , one where the turning chain was (by tr in the joining st) and one on the opposite side (2 tr into 1 st).

Then the next 4 rows were plain tr into each st.

The last row was Double Crochet (US Term: Single Crochet) into each stitch. This tightened up the top of the cozy so it doesn’t slip off.
