I love a good cabled hat. This was a fun project and I love the finished product. Because I was using Aran weight, I decided to go down two needle sizes. It still came out a wee bit large but still wearable. Or I can give it to someone with a larger head.

The tubular cast-on gives it that professional look. Worth the trouble.

The yarn got a little fuzzy after I washed it. I had to wash twice to rinse out the extra dye. It’s now very soft, thick with cables and ready for winter.
