Notes

Finished these just in time for Christmas wearing. So I can’t remember the last time I did an afterthought heel for a sock if any at all. But this pattern really walks you through it. And the decreases for the heel and toe come out so neat and tidy. There is no looseness between the decreases and you get a nice straight line.

I also love the weaving of the heels and toes and how to eliminate the pointy ends (dog ears) and make them look more rounded. Brilliant.

There was a bit of a problem on one of the heels where the decreases went a bit wonky (I’m not showing that side!). Other than that, I loved this walk-through for making the “perfect” pair of socks.

I also want to say how much I enjoy knitting with Turtle Toes striping yarn. They really hold up to wear and get so soft after washing.
