I’m looking back at this project and I’m sharing some thoughts.

In a way, this was kind of a fail for me though I did enjoy knitting it. I thought the construction was unique and who doesn’t love brioche?

I think it was the whole obsession I felt in choosing just the right colors and ending up with a boring pair. There were so many in my stash I could have chosen which could have played better together with a much nicer result but I chose these two and really I think it feels over-played. A nice dark brown with a light grey or deep red would have been nicer.

This isn’t something I’d wear and really I don’t know anyone that this shawl would suit. So it’s kind of a show piece for now just hanging there. Same as the Doodler.

I knew for the most part that the SW designs are not something that would really suit me but they are fun to knit and the mystery shawls create so much excitement way before they begin. It’s this whole thing about choosing the colors and everyone goes crazy trying to figure what the best combo is. People help out and give opinions. It’s the part I really like about the whole event. The beginning is the best part.

Anyway, I do think this project needs to be photographed a little better. I’m just not so overjoyed with the whole finished piece like I thought I would be .
