I have moved the warp to the counter balanced loom. There were threading errors on the Harp, and the string heddle was such a pain in the ass. I couldn’t get a clean shed. So now it’s on the CB.
I have the Warp halfway wound, started late last night.
This is my first DOUBLE HEDDLE and 4 SHAFT PATTERN!!
I’m almost done with the threading. 273 completed out of 402 ends

7 March 2013
I am finally all warped!
It took me a few tries, due to the fact I had to switch to freezer Paper and take out the paper bags. The paper bags caused too much bulk, and the middle of my warp was shorter than the ends. Much cursing and colourful words were strewn.

I’m getting ready to start weaving!
I’m using a matching sewing thread for the hems first.
12 March 2013
I decided against using the thread. I did try it though, didn’t like it.
Over the last couple of days, I fumbled hard with string heddles, tried weaving, and had to unweave twice, re-tighten the warp, and finally yesterday I’m on track!
8 July 2013
It was pulling in on the sides so I ended up un-weaving to about 1/2 inch in on the Tabbly edge, and re-weaving. I’m just starting to re-start the pattern.
Spent about 2 hours with
MaggieORyan learning this morning. She is so Great!
27 January 2014
up to 6.25” where the first marker is.
I decided that this first one is my mistake towel. I know I messed up quite a bit, but I’m not unweaving anymore. I was making myself nuts. I will learn on this first one, then then the next 2 will be wonderful

Since it turns out I’ve screwed up the weaving order, and the string heddle is a pain in the ass, and the 8/2 cotton is sticky…. I started unweaving again. Only this time, the warp is going to go onto the counter balance loom.
