If I was to knit this for someone --- $171.50

Cast on 685 sts. Magic cast on with top needle counter-clockwise.

After multiple tries to get to foundation row knit, finally! I forgot about the 2 salvage stitches on each end. That, and had a mistake at the beginning of the row (that I tinked to and re-knit) = all stitches falling appropriately.

Have the first chart done, and working the second chart. Reminder to self, use locking stich markers next time for row 8 of first chart!
The Split ring markers keep slipping out! I’m going to work the edging after the second chart is completed.

Edging is done, except for the bind off. (I’ll do that last, because it requires two strands held together)

I put it down for a week to work on the charity hats.

Picking back up today 8/12/2010

8/21/2010 ---- Finished!!!!!

I had to tink about half the bind off and re knit tighter. The first time, i didn’t have enought wool to finish.

just have to wash and block! yea!!!
