Notes

May get 12 skeins of Andorra, cloud grey, for this.
I planned to use Wollmeise but after reading the words (lesson learned), I think it would be too heavy for the lace.

Well dammit, we only have 9.
Now what?
Holly Red! and got the perfect buttons for it, too.

this is on hold til cooler weather since it’s kind of warm for all this wool and mohair in my lap! :)

using the Addi fixed 32” & 40” lace tip needles. Yes, they leave black marks on my fingers and a metallic taste in my mouth, but I love them open_mouth
Had to change to a Rocket because of the metallic taste and black stains on my fingers.

Sleeve yardage rough estimate:
18” around x 3 =54” (yarn per rnd or row)
54” x22” long sleeve (turn back sleeves) = 1188”
1188” x 5.5 stitches per inch = 6534”
6534” ÷ 36 = 181.5 yards per sleeve
I’m good on yardage!
ESTIMATION WAS GOOD- just under 1 skein used for sleeve 1.

11-29-2018: first skein wound and gauge swatch completed. Cast on. Here we go……
12-10-2018: almost finished with the upper part and hope that means I will soon be at some lace knitting.
12-12: sleeves are on holders. Yay!
12-13: started the body, almost to the lace.
12-14: setup for the lace. Finally!! That’s a lotta stitches. grimacing
1-25-2019: body finished, first sleeve set up and ready to knit.
Had to move the project to my giant Whimzee Stitches Organic Gardener bag. :O
1-30: 1st sleeve is finished, 2nd sleeve picked up and ready to decrease.
2-8: sleeves finished, ready to pick up for the front and neck bands.
2-9: started picking up index_pointing_up (and knitting, because I can never make just a plain pick-up without puckering up the stitches).
2-12: stuck in stitch pick-up hell….
2-12-2019: just need to sew on the buttons and weave in some ends.
2-13-2019: finished!
