Gauge on this seems off. It’s supposed to be 40”x60”. But its got 6 stitches (hdcs) as 2” and 5 rows as 2”. Rows are 106 hdcs and there are 135 rows. So it seems to me that
would make it apx 35” x 54” and that is too small. I did a swatch and it was on gauge so I did the first 10 rows and it was only 35” wide. I’m doing this for someone who wants it single-bed-ish size. I don’t want to go up in hook size as I don’t think that is going to give me five more inches in width :) So I’m going to modify the pattern making it have 120 hdcs which would bring it to 40” if my math is correct, and then make it a bit longer (adding a couple rows to the pants and the rest to the body, some before and some after the glasses to keep him in proportion. Might need another ball of blue and yellow, will see.
