Tartan draft from Handweaving .net
8/2 tencel colours used: white, black, yellow, emerald green, royal blue, ruby red.

6.5 yard warp for two scarves. The draft was modified to fit the parameter of a scarf so it measures 12” at the reed and 10.5 inches finished.

I reduced the red section between colour repeats as well to 3.5 inches.

There would be 3.5 inches of nice nifty weaving, alternating with the colour areas where you are more concerned with changing colours, tucking tails and carefully carrying colours up the side where possible.

They were woven to 74” on the loom, and fringe twisted to 5 inches.

Weaving tartans is addictive…. its real eye candy as you watch the pattern develop.

Its oddly satisfying!
