Notes

Really pleased with this pattern. The end result looks super complicated, but it is actually a breeze to knit. Also very simple to remember: repeats over four rows and only one in every four rows has anything more complicated than a purl or knit!

I did the number of repeats recommended in the pattern. Unblocked, it is roughly 55x75cm. Will have to wait a while to block it as I simply don’t have anywhere to do it in this tiny HK apartment -- so will wait till I move back home in a fortnight. Updated measurements and photos to follow then.

Completely delighted with the blanket.

The yarn choice has knitted up really well and looks beautiful. My only complaint is that in more than one skein, I found one of the strands that make up the yarn broken in a few places. Not come across this before, but it was a bit annoying…

Update: Now the baby has been born I’ve been using this blanket all the time and it is absolutely amazing. The lace pattern means it is really flexible and the gorgeous yarn makes it warm but still breathable. Even more delighted than I was before!
