21.01.13 Got to a bit where the wording of the pattern is ambiguous, so I’ll be double checking with my knitting group before I continue this.
I must thank Devon Craftsmith for helping me get back on track with the pattern instructions.
27.01.13 Although I still had to put my thinking cap on to work out that it was the P2 tog decreasing at each side, that the instructions referred to in their frustratingly vague ‘as before’ comment, rather than the K2 tog SSK decreases.
In the end I placed markers and then P2 tog at either side between markers, on the stated rows.

25.01.13 I have set aside sleeve until I finish first side to ensure it is the right length for me as I have longish arms. Finished the first sleeve. 03.02.13

The yarn knits up well and quickly.

03 Feb 2013 Started on the Back Got in another pickle over the shaping which did not seem to add up.

Emailed the lovely Wellwoman, who gave me some advice and so when I checked over my calculations with this in mind, I decided that the pattern had misprinted the number of sts after the decrease as 75 instead of 83,
Then as I worked through the decreases I realised that while the 75 sts was not a misprint, there needed to be 5 sets of decreases for 4th size, not the 4 stated, so I had been on the right track all along! :O) My thanks to Wellwoman for taking the trouble to help out.

07.03.13 Back completed, I now have the right side and second sleeve to complete.
12.03.13 Right side completed
15.03.13 2nd sleeve started.
Sleeve completed 16.03.13
Collar completed 17.03.13.
Button borders to do now and sew sleeves in place. Completed and made up. 21.03.13

6 x 1” Buttons added.

If I were to do this project again, I would make a smaller size and knit the sleeve cuffs slightly tighter with a deeper rib. (In the pattern image the model is wearing gloves, which disguises the wide cuffs).

It is very warm and fits well over other layers in winter.
