3/12/14. Finished clue 1. Loving the pattern so far. I found the floss method of beading the easiest so far. Keeps the beads from shooting across the room!

3/6/2014 Swatch and friction test complete! The results are that after playing with the beads for a half hour, rubbing the swatch between my hands, flopping it around, and then blocking it I’m pretty certain that these beads will hold up on this yarn. The project is a go!

3/5/2014 So it has been mentioned to me that the beads I’ve chosen can possibly cut through the yarn. So I’m actually going to swatch this one out to rub the beads around and see if they will work. I am hopeful however because the shadow lace by knitpicks is a bit of a heavier weight than normal lace. fingers crossed

Also, for everyone interested in where I got these beads… because there are a few of you. There are a few places that will work: Fire Mountain Gems, Ali express (search for 3 or 4mm crystal beads and sort by free shipping) for smaller orders. Or if you are crazy like I am and have other hobbies that use beads order bulk at Panda Hall. Either way it takes a while to get here because they are coming from overseas!

2/7/14. When I saw the plate on the cover photo I kept coming to this yarn in my stash, Shadow Midnight Heather. Now I just have to wait for my beads that I ordered to ship!
