I love the edging on this pattern but I wasn’t fond of how it looks at the bottom tip. After much deliberation, decided not to go with it. I know the edge is a key feature of the pattern but … Going to add a 3-4 stitch garter stitch edge. Details tbd.

After 2 iterations of the main chart section, it’s looking good! Love this yarn with the pattern.

While the pattern is not technically difficult, the fact that it’s lace means it’s difficult to recover from mistakes. I have put markers every 10 stitches (the repeat is 20 stitches). While doing the ws row, I verify that there are indeed 10 stitches between markers. If not, a missing yo or tinking back to fix won’t be too bad. If you’re not a focused knitter, you may want a lifeline.

The first 3rd was more difficult than I expected. Not because of the pattern, which is totally fine, but because I didn’t have focus for some reason. Don’t want to jinx it but it seems like I’m finally in the groove.

Finished! While the 3-stitch garter border is not as special as the one that goes with the pattern, I think it looks nice. I followed all other instructions for the small size as written. I used just a tad under two skeins. You would need part of a third to do the border. (Maybe I will use my third skein to make some mitts or a hat!)

Added a mess of pics after blocking! First time using blocking wires, totally helpful for this project. I love when people post pics of their projects in use. It really helps when planning which size to make, how much yarn to buy, etc. I am not a small gal (5’11”) so you can see that the size small is fairly generous if well-blocked.

I also love when people post a pic of their yarn in skeins or a wound ball. If (when) the yarn of choice is not available, it helps when deciding on an alternative yarn to see how it would look in the shop.

The pattern is well-written, though I can’t comment on the part about the edging since I didn’t use it. First time making a triangular shawl without a center column of increases. Fun!
