Notes

Not sure if I will have enough to make a shawl yet. When I finish a skein, will be able to estimate! If not, I will rip back to 10-12 inches, bind off and call it a placemat, hah! I will definitely have enough to make 3 more …

This is an easy 4-row pattern (3 unique rows cuz the WS rows are the same). It’s a combination of the “little arrowhead” and the “feather faggot” patterns in BGW’s first Treasury of Knitting Patterns. I was looking for a faggot stitch and what could be more perfect than pairing “feather” and “arrowhead”?? I think faggotting makes a nice side border, so I have no bordering or anything, just dove right in!

I’m looking for tablecloth ideas for my kitchen table (tired of looking for one that’s the right size in the stores, hah!). This pattern would look great, but I wanted to get an idea for size after blocking before buying yarn and so forth.

April 21: I love the great lacy effect for such an easy pattern!

June 12: Well, I spent the month of May in an extremely busy state and didn’t work on this at all until June came around. What I’m sayin’ is: it’s a much faster knit than it seems from this record!! These pics are pre-blocking …

June 13: Forgot to mention that I posted the 4-row pattern at my blog (see blog post above)!

I weighed the final product and it comes in at 298 grams.
