Notes

If I could knit everything in this yarn, I would. It’s relatively soft for a workhorse-type yarn (much softer than Bartlett, for instance) and it really bouncy and has great structure. It’s my favorite worsted weight wool.

8/12/2010 (Son’s birthday!) Cast on during vacation in Ocean City, NJ. First cast on a size 40 with size 8 needles, but didn’t really like the holey fabric, so I ripped out and cast on for a size 44 with size 7 needles. It seems perfect so far. The back is measuring 20” across, which is 2” of positive ease. I’m thinking I may just leave the front open on this one.

Sept. 11, 2010
The back is done, the fronts are done and I’m working on the sleeves. I made the sweater extra long; it’s more jacket length.

Oct 17, 2010
I’ve knit the button bands twice and this is frustrating. I picked up 2 stitches for every 3, and I think it’s going to look Ok. I ended up with 336 stitches. Today I’ll bind those off and hopefully start sewing in the sleeves. Almost done!

Bad photos, but what can I do? By the time my husband gets home it’s almost dark. :/
