I modified the edge stitches on this pattern because when I was knitting it as written, I was getting uneven edges on each side of the shawl. So I’m k1tbl with the new color, work across to last stitch, bring yarn to front as if to purl and slip the last stitch as if to purl. Turn, and k1tbl with the same yarn and work the same as before. It makes a nice, even edge when you carry the yarn up the side.
