Needle Notes

I used bamboo needles, as metal needles are too slippery.
Started with 2.5mm/80cm KnitPro wood circular.
Moved on to 3.25mm/80cm KnitPro wood circular.
For the waist (repeats 5 & 6), I went down to 3.00mm and then to a 2.75mm / 80cm KnitPro circular.

Changed to 3.5mm’s for the upper body.

March 29, 2010 -Body finished. Cast on for sleeve #1.

Pattern Notes

Designed a new star-section for the upper half of the cardigan (thanks KnitVisualizer), because I have a different total stitch count.
Since steeking is so much fun, I made the neckline a little deeper by simply cutting it away. Added a decorative neckline, the same as used in the sleeves.

Thanks a lot to a Knitting Daily Tip (to help me with a sleeve puckering issue):

Martha Puccio, on Fair Isle tension: I make a lot of Norwegian mittens on four needles that have two colors. I have found the best way to avoid puckering is to work the mitten with the right side inside. In other words, after I complete the cuff and start the pattern work I rotate the knitting so the right side is inside and the wrong side is outside. This seems to leave just enough carried yarn to prevent puckering.
