The Pattern
This is an elegant wrap from Espace Tricot, and is available free of charge on their page. The isosceles trapezoid is an underused shape, people! It’s just right for a summer wrap draped over your shoulders, or a winter scarf wrapped twice around you neck.
It has a nice modern unisex shape, and the slip stitch rows add graphic texture and color. I used a gradient yarn here.

The Yarn
Modifications: I altered the cast on to 200 sts wide (not 240 sts as written) bc the yarn, bought on a trip to Peru, did not have correct yardage listed on the ball band. Tubular (Italian) cast on and cast off were used, and the frequency of the CC rows was doubled bc I had plenty of the Zauberball yarn.
I changed the stitch increase to a Lifted Increase set two stitches in from the ends, and carried the CC yarn up the RHS of the shawl, using this technique.

The finished shawl after blocking measures 34”w at the bottom edge, 62”w at the top edge, and is 17”deep.
Total weight: 115 grams.
