Name: YumiYarns
House: Hufflepuff
Badge Consideration: Cleaning the Room of Requirement - 594 yds used
Description of what you have done this month to complete project:
Dear Professors,
This month I have decided to tackle the Room of Requirement and have completed my Large-Size Knit in Public - Texture stole. Seeing as how the room is so large, it required me to use 594 yards of my favorite Hedgehog yarns to get into all the nooks & crannies. I did have a bit of a head-start, though. Before the month began I was on section 18 of 27 so this month I finished working the last 9 sections then realized that I had made the first section too short. I took out the BO on that section and knit about twice as much as I originally had, then BO again, wove in the ends and blocked it.
I hope that I was able to get the room as clean as you’d hoped. Thank you for your time and attention,
Shaina ^_^

June 10, 2017 is this year’s World Wide Knit in Public Day!!
What’s more fun than a knitting scavenger hunt? A knitting scavenger hunt that you can share with your friends while knitting in public all over town!
For the second year in a row, I’ll be hiding the clues around the internet throughout the day on WWKIPD 2017 (June 10, 2017). I’ll send out the update to this intro with the Basic Pattern on Friday, June 9th at 12:01 AM CST so that you can start your project and get ready to knit the clues during the day on Saturday.
Clues can be found in the following Yumi Yarns locations:
● Clue 1 will be available at YumiYarns.com at 7 AM CST
● Clue 2 will be available on Instagram at 9:30 AM CST
● Clue 3 will be available on Twitter at Noon CST
● Clue 4 will be available on Facebook at 2:30 PM CST
The full pattern will be released on Sunday, June 11th so if you miss a clue or would just like a concise write-out to work from, it will be available for you.
This year’s pattern is a highly textured scarf/stole and instructions are included for 1 or 2 color versions. There are an endless variety of options possible for this mix-and-match pattern and you can use any yarns that you like to truly make it your own. I’ve included the yarns that I used for my sample piece, but feel free to use it as a stash-busting project by throwing in whatever yarns you want to create a really colorful and fun lightweight scarf/stole.
