Worked standing dc for starting each center row, and on each row at the long end of the vanes (the odd numbered rows). On the short end of the vanes (the even numbered rows) started each row with ch 3 and did the increase in the first st of the first dc group, then for the remainder of the dc groups placed the increases as:
if working over an odd number of dc, increase in center dc.
if working over an even number of dc, alternate the increase as just before the center, then over the next even number of dc do it just after the center.

First vane finished 6/5/2015. ~9” / 23.5cm at widest.
