Used K hook for starting chain.
Used I hook for the body of the afghan.
Used J hook for the trim.

Used the Oxford Grey yarn for the main color, the yellow and green for the trim and the appliques.

Used the trim colors doubled for the trim by working from both ends of the skein since it is a thinner yarn, but these are the colors i wanted. Fiddly, but worth it!

Used F hook for the appliques.
Used G hook for round 4 of the turtle.

Made up the cattails pattern as i went.

The pictures of the blank afghan are actually the back of it with the appliques attached to the front.
