Modifications:

Used fsc for row 1.

The rows right after the clusters were confusing, especially the first one (row 4). After the first two I decided to use 3ch between each cluster and 2sc in between two sets of clusters. UPDATE: I totally did all of these rows wrong. Not going to frog it partially because I’m lazy and partially because it could be a nightmare with sequins in practially every stitch. I think it looks ok though. Let’s pretend I modified it on purpose. I’ll do the final row with the little dangly chain bits like they are supposed to be.

This yarn is so sparkly!

I did 4 extra repeats (if you add repeats the total has to be an odd number for the bottom to come out right; 4 made my total 7) to make this a cape and to use every bit of the yarn. Instead of the edges described in the pattern and because I was seriously low on yarn, I did two rows of single crochet on the sides and top followed by a row of slip stitch to gives the edge more structure.
