Pretty much a straight repeat of the socks I knit my dad last Christmas. The only change I’m making is to add a ribbed panel down each side: k15, (p1k1 twice, p1), k27, repeat rib panel, k to end.

For heel: K9, kfb, k5, turn, sl1, p1 across 34 sts. Work heel flap on these 34 stitches.

Foot: Knit until foot measures 7.75 inches. Switch to cc. Knit 5 rows, set-up row, start toe decreases. Decrease as usual until 32 stitches left, graft toe together with k2tog at either end.
