Body and sleeves all done. Working hood now.

I’m terrified of the steek.

I steeked on Sunday! First I secured the sides of the steek as shown in this video: https://youtu.be/Vno-cMURQjc

THEN I cut. I’ve done the button bands, and so far so good. No fraying. I decided I’m going to attach clasps instead of buttons. I have a hard time making tidy buttonholes, and I’ve put so much time into this sweater, I want it to be awesome. (Plus, now that I steeked, I can’t frog it…. this is total commitment.)

Sewn bindoffs are slow, but they look FABULOUS!

Sewed everything together this weekend! Bought the clasps, but I haven’t attached them yet.

If I were to do this over, I would attached the hood THEN do the button band so that it’s all in one piece (it would take a really long circular needle, but that’s fine).

It was 10 degrees out this morning….. so I sat my little self down and sewed on the clasps. This is so snuggly warm!!!!
