July 15: I really enjoyed this! And hubby likes the fit! LOL

Some adjustments: I added 6 “short rows” on each sides to adjust the fit, kind of like a gusset - resulting in an armhole more “U” shaped than “V” shaped. This works better on my body. I also did a row of sc on each armhole (not the sleeve cap with the lacey edge). Seems to stabilize the armhole better. I edged the neckline without using elastic. Didn’t seem necessary. I can always re-do this if necessary.

July 8: This is going FAST. I am now working both the front and the back…. adding two rows to both and then trying on. I’m almost to the right “tightness.” The sc really draws it in under the bust. I’m shooting for both “fitted” and “work-appropriate.”

July 1: Saw this featured on “Knit and Crochet Now” (on the “Create” channel). As a lefty, crochet has always felt daunting to me, certainly a little scary to take on a garment. But I’m DOING it! My grandmother LOVED to crochet things in rows but hated squares (which is unfortunate because it seems like all the hip stuff in the 70s was in squares). She would have loved this top. :-)

The trickiest part for me is keeping the right number of stitches. I have to use markers and count a lot. But that’s okay.
