I was looking for a very girly sweater pattern for that gorgeous cashmere yarn. And I found it - men’s henley :)
Got bigger gauge, so I’ve made 36 1/2 size for my 40 size bust with a little bit of positive ease.
Made some significant modifications:
- After researching some finished projects, I noticed that the stitch pattern in the bib area slightly shrinks the garment, that’s why I increased a bib area by three additional st after the first three pearl stitch rows.
- After increased st I’ve got evenly even number of stitches (52), shifted stitch pattern by two st and got full bouquets at the edges and a full bouquet in the center (7th and 10th pictures).
- Added bust darts with two short rows (four rows increased). You can see them barely in 5th picture. That helped avoid bib pattern shrinking in the place where your bust should fit with a little bit of a positive ease.
- Mirrored bib pattern in the back to have a back little bit happier (8th, 9th pictures).
And since this is a prototype of men’s henley, used men’s shirt buttons (12th picture).
