Notes

I really wanted to make a cowl with this handspun. Searched & debated a lot. I kept coming back to this pattern.

I wanted a much longer loop, instead of close to the neck.

I cast on 240 sts.

As my yarn is thicker than the original pattern, I decided on 2 k&p repeats instead of 3.

For the Icord - I knit 13 rows (instead of 25 since my repeats were more narrow).

For the placement, I meant to just double the doubled the numbers. So for the first one, it says 10 sts. I did 20. For 25, I would knit 50 sts, etc..

Of course, I messed up on the second one! Did the 20 sts again, but didn’t knit as many. But in the end, it ended up okay. I did 4 icord loops instead of the 3 in the original pattern. So not having put the extra stitches in helped space them nicely.

I debated if I should block it. It looks good. Also, I wasn’t sure how to block it. The icord causes some gathering near the point. And how do you block a cowl and have it dry anytime in this decade? grin

I think it looks great. And I have worn it multiple times. It is comfy & warm. Really love it.
