Overall, I think this is a great pattern for a first triangular shawl. There are pages of notes on the construction, that other patterns don’t include. I would definitely recommend other newbies to this type of shawl to read the instructions.

12/16: …wait, shouldn’t I be focused on Christmas knitting right now?

I couldn’t help myself. Cast on and did through Row 8 of Chart A. This is my “trip to MN” knitting project. I really like knitting lace on plane trips; it’s mindful enough that I don’t space out and fall asleep.

12/22: Through row 16. Tomorrow’s the flight to MN so I should get a lot of knitting done then! Nice and relaxing now, since I’m done with all the Christmas knitting.

12/24: Through the 2nd of 5 repeats of Chart A.

12/25: Through 3 repeats.

12/27: on the 4th repeat; it appears I’m a very tight knitter as my first ball has a ton left. Might add an additional repeat of Chart A.

12/29: Finished Chart A! Definitely didn’t add a 6th repeat; there wasn’t enough yarn left and I am just so flippin’ tired of that lace pattern right now.
Knit in the 2nd skein of yarn on Row 4 of Chart B.

12/31: Finished the first half of Chart B.

1/3: The end is nigh!! I’m doing the crochet bind off.
