7/18/15 Second washcloth is done!
7/17/15 mods for the second washcloth: used a provisional cast on. I omitted the second half of the final row 10 so that the two edges would line up correctly for grafting. I joined the two live edges with Kitchener stitch. I just have to weave in the ends and it will be done.
7/16 part 2: I had just enough yarn left for one more, so I made a second one. The knitting is done--just needs to be finished. I used a chained cast on and am going to work on seaming it.
7/16/15 This was a quick, easy knit. I like the pattern a lot. My only confusion was with joining the cast on and cast off edges. Next time, I will use a provisional cast on and join them with Kitchener stitch, probably. The seam on this one is a little bulky.
7/14/15 My wife and daughter brought a random ball of pretty white and green cotton yarn home for me from Goodwill. I asked my daughter if she would like me to make her a flower washcloth with it. She said yes, so I started it up!
I did a couple sections and then realized my short rows were kinda holey, so I ripped it out and redid it. Now that I have a better sense of what the pattern is doing, it’s coming out very nicely.
