2/17/16 These are blocking. I’m hoping they turn out all right, though. When I washed them they got all loose and floppy like superwash sometimes does. I hope the cables don’t lose their depth.

2/16/16 cast off last night and wove in the ends but couldn’t stay up long enough to block them. Will do it sometime today and they’ll be done.

2/15/16 I’m over halfway done the second cuff. I’m really hoping to have them finished tonight and get them blocking. It’s been super cold here lately so I want the wifey to be able to get some use out of them!

2/14 #2 Cast off the first one using JSSBO. I ended up doing 8 rows of k6 p2 after the first set of cables, then did three more cables and finished per the pattern. The first one used 44 gm/139 yds.

2/14/16 I’m making some modifications. I didn’t realize how short they are if you go by the pattern. I added an extra cable twist, then several rows in the middle, and now am doing another set of cables. I’ll finish up with shorter ribbing than the beginning (which is what the pattern calls for).

2/13/16 I was hoping to get this pair done for Valentine’s Day, but there’s no way I’m going to make it! I’ll show them to her on the needles though and hopefully can get them done quickly.

I’m using yarn that I’ve had in my stash for ages! It’s not the softest wool, but I might be able to soften it up with washing. The ribbing and cables look very crisp so far. I’m using US7s instead of 6s just because I felt like it!
