Notes

i’ve cast on for this project 4 times now (at least). i liked the yarn i used in the first attempt (the blue tahki wool) but after i’d knitted a couple of inches, i took a second look at the yardage and realized i only have enough to make a scarf that’s 3.5 feet, four tops. so, back to the stash i went.

i think one skein of the silver thaw will do it, but i have two more on hand if need be. this is breaking my unofficial rule that all noro gets knit into things for me, but my sil’s cool enough to be worth it.

so far, i love this pattern. this video (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PKpuUxVbQtc) might be helpful to anyone contemplating starting this.

update: this is knitting up extremely quickly. i’ll probably finish it this afternoon. unfortunately, the color sequence is close enough to rainbow that i almost don’t like it, but it’s growing on me more and more. also, there’s one join in the yarn that didn’t mesh with the color progression (it jumped back 1.5 colors) which kinda sucks, but i didn’t want to waste any of the yarn so i just knitted ahead. i’m hoping that will break up the rainbow feel a bit.

update #2: ok, i lied. i love this scarf. the colors are great. it just took a little while to grow on me. i’m contemplating making another one for myself.
