11/7/17 I took out the initial bind off I used (k2tog tbl) because the edge was too flared. I did an I cord bind off instead, and I think it looks better. I actually wove in all the ends, too!

Before binding off, I did 8 rows of broken 2x2 rib. I didn’t want to do a rolled stockinette edge like the pattern calls for. I figured the broken rib would be least likely to roll or flip up, and it wouldn’t pull in the way regular rib would.

11/3/17 Bound off, but I’m worried the BO is too loose. I’m trying to decide what to do, if anything.

11/2/17 This is working up quickly. I did the cowl neck and first several rounds in the green. Now I’m adding 10 row stripes of each of the contrast colors. I tried the cowl on my daughter and it seems okay. It’s definitely not too tight, which I was most worried about.

10/31 Going to try casting on 60 sts with US11s and see how that goes.
