8/31/15 Finally got a chance to finish this up, and the pattern is live now so I can post pics. I really like how it turned out. Doing the “twisted knot” stitches was a little challenging for me as I tend to knit on the snug side, but with a little practice and a lot of reminding myself to knit loosely, it worked out fine. This pattern has particularly nice crown decreases that line up in a pretty star. I will try to get a modeled pic when the kiddo wakes up.

Of note, this is the first project I ever used spit splicing on.
