This is what happens when a person is sick at home for a week…

Face: Held a strand of Habu cashmere with the Loft to add subtle fuzz. I did an extra couple short rows in the face. I didn’t add as much stuffing, and I used the same technique from the arms to add a little definition to the nose area.

Hat is knit from a strand of Rowan Fine Tweed held with Kidsilk Night. I added a tiny bell to the end for some festive jingling.

Scarf is knit from Kidsilk Night (like Kidsilk Haze, but with sparkles!).

Tail is an i-cord knit from 2 strands of Habu cashmere held double. I inserted the metal wire from a twisty-tie down the middle of the i-cord so that the tail could be positioned as desired.

Ear:
With MC, cast on 3 sts.
Kfb, Kfb, K1. (5 sts)
Purl 1 row.
K1, inc 1, knit to last stitch, inc 1, K1. (7 sts)
Purl 1 row.
K1, inc 1, knit to last stitch, inc 1, K1. (9 sts)
Purl 1 row.
K1, SSK, knit to last 3 sts, K2tog, K1. (7 sts)
Purl 1 row.
K1, SSK, knit to last 3 sts, K2tog, K1. (5 sts)
Bind off purl wise.
With bind off tail, connect the first and last stitch of the bind off row. This “cups” the ear. Note: the WS (purl bump side) faces forward.

Churchmouse project bag: bits of recycled mailer taped together; twistie-ties for handles; Churchmouse ribbon cut into iconic CM oval. Toothpick knitting needles.

I love this pattern. This is the fourth time I’ve knit it, and I have plans for many more.
