I frogged my original pair of these socks because my gauge was smaller than intended.

I used up the yarn I had left over from the first time I knit these socks for lifelines, so I had to finish them with white Regia yarn.

I followed the pattern for size women’s M but knit the leg 7.25” long instead of 8.5” long and knit the foot 9” long instead of 9.5” long.

I worked 24 heel flap rows instead of 30 rows. I picked up 14 sts along each side of the heel flap instead of 15 sts for a total of 76 gusset sts instead of 78 sts.

Heel Turn:
-Sl 1, k16, ssk, k1, turn
-Sl 1, p5, p2tog, p1, turn
-Continue until all sts have been worked - 18 sts

I knit 1 rnd even, knitting the picked up gusset sts through the back loop, before starting the gusset decreases.

For the toe I followed the pattern, decreasing every other rnd to 32 sts then every rnd to 8 sts. I grafted the toe sts sideways for a mitten toe.

The yarn was a gift from my grandmother-in-law.
