Cece is 9 months old in the first photo (6/2/17).

Little sister Tessa is 14 months old in the second photo (9/25/19).

I did not use the smaller needles for the back bodice but I did for the front bodice because I bound off the front skirt extra loosely so the waist would stretch.

I used the smaller needles for the collar because the pink yarn was thicker than the white.

The directions for the left half of the collar just say to work as for the right half, reversing the shaping. I picked up the stitches for the left collar with the WS facing and starting at the center front.

The left collar decreases look a little sloppy. Maybe it’s because my ssk is looser than my k2tog. I almost ripped out the collar and re-knitted it but then decided that since it’s for a baby and won’t be worn all that long, redoing the collar was more hassle than it’s worth.

I used mattress stitch to set in the sleeves and seam the bodice and a crochet slip stitch to seam the skirt.

I used a 1/2” elephant button I found at my mom’s house whilst visiting.

White Yarn:
