Gauge:

• 17 sts x 24 rows = 4” in Irish moss stitch
• 19-st cable panel = 4” wide
• 36-st cable panel = 7” wide

When the blanket came off the needles it was 28” wide x 34.5” long but after washing it is 29” wide x 33” long.

My stitch gauge was larger than the pattern’s so the blanket is 29” wide instead of 27.25” wide.

My row gauge was also larger than the pattern’s. I worked 7 cable pattern repeats before working the second border instead of 8 cable pattern repeats so the blanket is 33” long instead of 33.5” long.

For the bind off border I worked 7 rows in Irish moss stitch instead of 8 rows and bound off in pattern so I wouldn’t have half a pattern repeat at the end.

If I were to knit this again I would work 7 edge sts instead of 5 sts and add a slip stitch selvage stitch so the edges would look neater.

My blanket used 100 more yards than stated in the pattern. Each 24-row cable pattern repeat used about 57g/101 yds of yarn.
