I made one for me and one for my friend Melissa.

I used two 7/8” buttons from Jo-Ann Fabrics.

I made some changes to the pattern:

-Cast on 88 stitches.
-K2, p2 rib for 1.5”.
-Bind off the 1st 10 stitches in rib pattern, K across - 78 stitches.
-Join in the round.
-K until hat measures about 7.5” from cast on edge.
-Decrease like pattern says, starting at K6, K2tog.
