After looking at other people’s finished projects, I wasn’t sure if I was supposed to start the crown shaping when the bonnet measured 2.75” including the cable panel or 2.75” from the picked up stitches. I decided to knit 2.75” from the picked up stitches.

I used size 4 needles for the cable panel instead of size 3 needles.

I used a sparkly 5/8” button from my stash.

Measurements:

• Ear-to-Ear: 14”
• Depth: 8”
• Depth to Seam: 6”
• Chin Strap: 4” long
• Cable Panel: 2” wide x 14” long
