I knew this would be a quick project, but I didn’t realize how quick! I finished this hat in one day.

I wanted this hat to look like the Effortless Beanie, but I got the same gauge as the Winter Warmer. I cast on 84 stitches for a 19” circumference, per the Winter Warmer pattern.

For the crown shaping I decreased 4 stitches, worked one round even, and decreased following the Effortless Beanie pattern, starting at round 5.

This hat is 9” long and according the the pattern it should be 10” long. I may have worked tighter when I switched to DPNs (as I have been known to do) so that could be why. It looks cute on my friend Amy (because she is gorgeous and literally everything looks cute on her) but I would have been happier with a slightly longer hat.
