Lucas is 3 months old in the first photo (7/28/19) and 9 months old in the second photo (1/11/20) and little brother Clayton is 1.5 years old in the third photo (12/27/22).

I started the neck shaping on rows 68 (left front) and 67 (right front) for a total of 74 rows instead of 76 because I forgot to adjust my buttonhole placement to accommodate the hood instead of a neckband and wanted the top button as close to the neckline as possible.

I used the hood dimensions from It’s a Colorful Babe in the 6 month size. I picked up 70 sts around the neck, increased to 80 sts (15.5” wide), and worked even for 7.5”.

I used five 5/8” buttons from Michaels.
