Update: My friend loves this hat! Before she texted me to say she got it in the mail, she had already uploaded a video to Instagram of Tucker wearing the hat. He is 18 months old in the 1st photo (4/8/18).

I don’t have kids, but to me this seems like a very practical hat.

I was concerned that a 15.5” circumference would be too small for a 1-2 year old, but the hat is very stretchy.

I hope the chin straps/earflaps are the right length. They would be pretty useless if they were too long or too short.

I used a red 7/8” button from my stash.

I used a 2” wide piece of a cardboard for a 2” diameter pom-pom.

Measurements:
