Cece is 3 years old in the photos (9/25/19).

I cast on 64 sts for a 17” circumference to fit a 3-year-old.

I used size 7 needles for the rib and size 8 needles for the body of the hat.

I knit the rib 3” long so it could be cuffed either 1.5” or 2”.

I followed the directions for the crown shaping from Sirdar 1338 Helmet with Pompom in the 6-12 month size.

-Cast on 64 sts
-Rib for 3”
-Knit until hat is 7” long (20 rnds)
-Knit 1 more round, decrease 1 stitch
-Crown shaping per Sirdar pattern (10 rnds, 2” long)

Measurements:

• Rib Circumference: 14”
• Body Circumference: 17”
• Total Length: 9”
• Length with Rib Folded 2.5”: 6.5”
• Length with Rib Folded 2”: 7”
