Isabel is almost 3 years old in the photos (12/13/23).

I knit this in the round instead of flat. I grafted the stitches together at the top using Kitchener stitch.

Since my gauge was larger than the pattern’s I used the stitch count for size 6-12 months. I cast on 88 sts instead of 90 sts. I decreased to 78 sts after the rib instead of 79 sts.

I worked the rib 3.5” long per size 1-2 years and knit the hat 9” long instead of 8.75” long to accommodate the stripe pattern because I wanted to end with a round of yellow.
