I didn’t embroider a cat face on the mittens because Snorsky is not a cat person.

I knit for 2.5” before starting the thumb gusset instead of 3.25”.

I knit the flip top 4” long instead of 4.5” long. I worked the buttonhole at 2.5” and started the top shaping at 3.5”.

I knit a convertible thumb.

Right Thumb:
-Knit for 1” - 16 sts
-Knit 8 sts, BO 7 sts
-Knit 8 sts, CO 7 sts, knit 1 st
-Knit for 1”
-K2tog around - 8 sts

Left Thumb:
-Knit for 1” - 16 sts
-BO 7 sts, knit 8 sts
-CO 7 sts, knit 9 sts
-Knit for 1”
-K2tog around - 8 sts

I used two stashed 3/4” buttons from Hobby Lobby.

Measurements:

• Circumference: 6.5”
• Mitt Length: 8”
• Hand Length: 5.5”
• Flip Top Length: 4”
• Thumb: 3” circumference, 2.25” long
