Measurements:
- Bust: 33”
- Waist: 29”
- Length: 21.5”
- Body Length: 14”
- Armhole Length: 7.5”
- Sleeve Length: 16”
- Upper Arm: 11”
- Lower Arm: 7.5”
I used a size 6 needle for the body and a size 5 needle for the ribbing.
My gauge was much bigger than the pattern’s; I was getting 4 stitches to an inch.
Raglan Shaping: I increased every other round (per the pattern instructions) until I had 60 stitches and 40 stitches, but my armhole was only 6” deep, so I knit 3 rounds, worked an increase round, and knit 4 more rounds before dividing the body and sleeves when my armhole measured 7.5”. After the underarm cast on, I had 64 stitches each for the front and back for a 33” bust.
Waist Decreases: I started waist decreases 2” from the underarm. I put stitch markers between the two underarm cast on stitches on each side and ssk, k1, sm, k1, k2tog every inch 5 times - 54 stitches each for the front and back for a 29” waist.
Hip Increases: I worked even without shaping for 1” before I started hip increases. I worked the hip increases (k1fb, k1, sm, k1, k1fb) the same as the waist decreases: every inch 5 times back up to 64 stitches each for the front and back. I worked even until the body measured 19.75” then k1, p1 rib for 1.75”.
Sleeves: After picking up the 2 cast on stitches I had 44 stitches for each sleeve.
