I cast on 54 sts for the rib and knit twisted rib to keep the brim snug. I increased to 63 sts on the last round of rib.

I had to play around with the length a little bit. I knit the rib 2.5” long instead of 2.25” long. I worked three vertical pattern repeats instead of four and I added an extra k2tog round at the end of the crown shaping.

I used a 4” diameter faux fur pom-pom from Joann Fabrics.
